After upgrading to Lion several days ago, aside from minor issues, FileMaker Pro 11 works just fine. Here are some I've come across so far:
I initially wrote that launching FileMaker Pro for the first time prompted you to install the Java Runtime Engine in Lion; it turns out that it's caused by a plug-in that uses Java.
FileMaker also crashed every time when quitting the application. I also thought that this was due to an incompatibility with Java or something related to the Restore functionality of Lion. Turns out this was also due to an old plug-in. Just to be sure, remove all the non-FileMaker Pro plug-ins in the /FileMaker/Extensions folder (they have the extension ".fmplugin") and put them back one by one if you're experiencing crashes with the app.
Exporting to Excel, as mentioned before, no longer works due to Rosetta no longer being supported with the new OS. Rosetta is the software that makes apps built for older Macs (with PowerPC processors) run with the newer Macs (with Intel processors). Importing from .XLS files will still work, which is a sigh of relief for solutions that rely heavily on importing those files.
If you rely on using CTRL+Up Arrow and CTRL+Down Arrow to move between records or design your database, Lion overrides these, making you switch to a different space instead. If this annoys you, you can turn this off in System Preferences.
Aside from those, everything works as is, including opening databases remotely from another computer, sharing databases, and Instant Web Publishing. Of course, for FileMaker Server, it's an entirely different story, so don't upgrade yet if you need Web Publishing features there. The fix should be out in a couple of months.
