iTunes Store Arrives in 12 Asian Countries

The iTunes store is now available in the following countries: Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei, and Sri Lanka.

Music tracks from local as well as international labels are available at prices from US$0.69 to US$1.29 per track and around US$9.99 for a full length album. Aside from Cantopop, K-Pop, and Mandopop categories, an OPM (Original Pilipino Music) section is also available, albeit with a few albums from a single record label at first.

Movies are also available to Rent (US$3.99) and Buy (US$14.99), and some are already offered in HD format (US$19.99).

WWDC 2012 Recap: New MacBooks, OS X, iOS 6


Apple today announced new and upgraded MacBook Pros, a July ship date for OS X Mountain Lion, and a Fall ship date for iOS 6.

The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro line has been updated with Intel Ivy Bridge processors, Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics, faster RAM and SSD, USB 3.0 connectors, and a thinner MagSafe Power adaptor for the MacBook Airs. The MacBook Pro 17" model has been dropped from the line up.

Apple's WWDC to Highlight New Macs, Operating System


Apple's World Wide Developer Conference, a yearly gathering of all Apple Developers, is set to start tomorrow with a keynote speech by CEO Tim Cook.

Based on previously announced schedules, there are hundreds of scheduled technical sessions that cover iOS and Mountain Lion, the upcoming operating system used by Macintosh Personal Computers. Conference hall banners seen from the outside of the San Francisco Moscone Center show that iOS 6 will be highlighted as well.

Speculations also abound that the whole Mac line up will be refreshed, with MacBook Pros inheriting the thinner form factor of the MacBook Air line of products, higher resolution "retina" level displays, and upgraded processors.

Power Mac Center Opens New Store In Podium Mall

Power Mac Center, one of the first Apple resellers in the Philippines, opened its 15th store last June 8 at The Podium mall in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. Here's a list of their stores so far:
